Think of the world as a giant amusement park, and every day there’s a new ride opening up. If you don’t keep learning, you might as well be stuck on the merry-go-round while everyone else is on the roller coasters. Staying curious means you get to try all the new rides, meet interesting people, and maybe even scream a little (in excitement, of course).

Let’s face it, life’s a team sport. You can try to go solo. Spoiler: it doesn’t end well. In both design and life, having a squad to lean on, bounce ideas off, and share the occasional “What were we thinking?!” moment is priceless. Plus, it’s way more fun celebrating wins (and surviving fails) with others by your side.

In both design and life, it’s important to remember that it’s not just about reaching the finish line but also about the crazy, messy, incredible journey along the way. Sure, there will be bumps, but those moments make the ride memorable. So, I always try to bring a bit of joy and laughter to my work because a happy designer makes for happier designs. And hey, if we’re not having a little fun, what’s the point?
